They host three classes a year – February, June, and November. It’s an amazing experience for somebody who might be wanting to discover the clown in themselves with little experience and looking for a warm community to learn within.

The school itself is a short three-day course over the course of a weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun). I am a recent graduate and it was a beautiful experience. I learned the true meaning of clowning and the value of bringing smiles to those around you from a group of very special and talented individuals. And I became part of an amazing community along the way!

Once you graduate they offer you plenty of volunteership experience for you to continue your journey (festivals, parades, hospice, helping out with future classes, etc). It is also inexpensive and you get a ton out of it. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

They do very little actual teaching and everything is super outdated and corny. Very little artistry in it.

It is a good, affordable basic clown school. Its original purpose was to train Shriner clowns, but now anyone can enroll. I have been an Instructor there for 24 years.
